Josh Stuart Shor | U.S. Army Green Beret + Boston Firefighter

Josh Stuart Shor commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant after graduating from Norwich University in 2007.

His career in the Army began in the Infantry as a Platoon Leader in the 82nd Airborne Division. 

In 2010, after his promotion to Captain, Josh attended the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) course at Fort Bragg, NC. 

After selection and eighteen months of specialized training, Josh earned his Green Beret, joining the ranks of the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) in Fort Bragg, NC where he served as a Special Forces Detachment Commander.

His time in the military spanned close to a decade and included multiple combat deployments across Iraq, Afghanistan, and Central Asia. His service includes several combat awards and decorations.

During his time in, he spent time at the Tactical Human Optimization Rapid Rehabilitation & Reconditioning Program (THOR3) while recovering from injuries. It was here that Josh found his passion not just for maximizing his own performance, but for helping others get back into the fight both physically and mentally. 

This transitioned into his current role as a Lead Instructor for O2X Human Performance.

Josh is currently a career firefighter for Boston Fire Department.

He’s a husband, father, and patriot.
