Meet Selena, the O2X Tactical Athlete of the week.
A Firefighter in San Diego, Selena is dedicated to health and wellness and serves as an inspiration for others. With a passion for excellence in fire and rescue, combined with an approach to a healthy lifestyle is what makes Selena our tactical athlete of the week. Here’s more from Selena:
What got you into your profession?
I’ve been a Firefighter for San Diego Fire Rescue Department since 2012. Just recently Promoted to Engineer. I’m a Hazmat Specialist and a Rescue Tech. I’m on USAR, Cal-TF8. I’m also an instructor in our Fire Academy. Outside of Fire, I’m a 6 season veteran of American Ninja Warrior. I am also an acrobat/performer when I find the time to go out and play.
What motivates you?
What motivates me to keep moving is based on a few things. One… my kids. I want to make sure I’m around for them and I make them proud. Two… I made a choice the day I decided to pursue a life in the Fire Service to be the best I can be for the people I serve, my crew, my coworkers, my kids, my family and myself. And three… nothing feels better than feeling good!!!
Know someone who we should feature as a tactical athlete of the week?
