Meet Levi, the O2X Tactical Athlete of the week. A Firefighter in Colorado, Levi is dedicated to health and wellness and serves as an inspiration for others. A passion for excellence in fire and rescue, combined with an approach to a healthy lifestyle is what makes Levi our tactical athlete of the week. Here’s more from Levi:
What got you into your profession?
I was born and raised in the north side of Denver, Colorado. I am a first generation firefighter in my family and have been a career firefighter at Adams County Fire Rescue for 6 years. As a child, I have been infatuated with fire apparatus and uniformed personnel. I didn’t know exactly what they did, but i knew they made a difference. I had interactions with firefighters while younger and immediately felt a sense that I wanted to be just like them. Without guidance, I had to find out what the fire service was all about and never looked back. I take pride in my craft and promised myself that I would try to influence troubled kids, because I was once one.
What motivates you?
I continue to serve my community by being involved in nonprofits. I’ve worked along side with 555 Fitness for the past 5 years. I am also the cover of the Colorado Firefighter Calendar for 2020. Profits made go to the Colorado Children’s Hospital Burn Unit and Burn Camps. To this day, we’ve raised over $700k.
Know someone who we should feature as a tactical athlete of the week?
