hris Ullom is an O2X Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has worked in the fields of Health, Fitness and Human Performance since 1994 following the completion of his bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Old Dominion University. He then completed his master’s degree in Physical Education from Radford University in 1997 while serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. For the next several years he would work as a Certified Athletic Trainer in both the high school and physical therapy settings. In 2000 Chris would earn the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential from the NSCA and form Atlantic Sports Performance, a company dedicated to improving the performance and injury resilience of youth athletes. In 2004, Chris would become the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for USA Field Hockey, helping the US Women qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games – the first time the US had qualified without being the host country in over twenty years. This coincided with his work at Wareing’s Gym in Virginia Beach, VA – the oldest gym in the country. Initially a personal trainer specializing in youth athletes, Chris would go on to become the Director of Training and eventually General Manager. During his tenure, Wareing’s Gym would become the premier training center in Virginia Beach, with the introduction of world-renowned programs such as the Parisi Speed School (the national leader in youth performance training), Alloy Personal Training Systems and Martin Rooney’s famed Training for Warriors program.In 2021 Chris became the Director of Human Performance for Naval Special Warfare Group 8 East, serving both the SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team 2 and Special Reconnaissance Team 2. After 3 ½ years with NSW, Chris went back to work in the fitness industry to become the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Onelife Fitness in Virginia Beach.In addition to being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he is also a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA), a USA Weightlifting Level 2 Coach and a Level 1 Titlelist Performance Institute Certified Fitness Professional.
