Dr. Gabe Farias is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist and Program Manager specializing in Mental Performance with the Phoenix Police Department. In this role, Gabe focuses on enhancing the psychological resilience and mental skills of tactical populations, optimizing their performance both on and off duty. His work emphasizes the critical mental aspects that influence success in high-stress environments, providing tactical athletes with tools to gain a competitive edge and thrive under pressure.Before joining O2X, Gabe worked extensively with the U.S. Army, engaging with thousands of soldiers to strengthen their mental resilience and performance. He leveraged his expertise in Sport and Performance Psychology to equip individuals and teams with essential mental skills for personal and professional success. His dedication to developing high-performing tactical athletes stems from a deep belief in the power of mental skills to drive success in challenging environments.Gabe holds a Master’s in Performance Psychology from National University and an Ed.D. in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States. He is currently pursuing a second doctorate in Organizational Leadership, reflecting his passion for continuous learning. Outside of work, Gabe enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, engaging in powerlifting, exploring the outdoors, and staying current on research and podcasts related to human performance. Balancing his academic rigor with his passion for fitness, he proudly refers to himself as a “Meathead-Academic.”
