
James Carson
James Carson is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Strength and Conditioning with the 284th Air Support Operations Squadron. In his current role, he applies his expertise in human performance to enhance the physical readiness and operational effectiveness of Air National Guard Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) operators, directly supporting mission success in high-demand environments.
Prior to joining O2X, James served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with CRAFT, where he trained and educated Undergraduate Pilot Training candidates and active-duty U.S. Air Force pilots on strength and conditioning principles to improve performance and durability. He also brings extensive experience in collegiate athletics, having held strength and conditioning roles at six NCAA institutions. Most notably, he served as the Director of Athletic Performance at the University of New Mexico, where he oversaw comprehensive training programs for student-athletes across multiple sports, with a primary emphasis on football.
James earned his degree from Bucknell University, where he competed as a defensive end on the football team and earned two varsity letters. His experience as both an athlete and performance professional continues to shape his approach, emphasizing discipline, consistency, and long-term development. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and baking, training for powerlifting, and spending time with his wife and his dachshunds.
