
Kenny Esquivel
Kenny Esquivel is a Human Performance Specialist at O2X, bringing nearly two decades of elite-level experience in Strength & Conditioning across professional, collegiate, and tactical environments. Currently serving as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu, Kenny leads a comprehensive K-12 performance program rooted in evidence-based practices, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development. Kenny’s career is defined by his ability to optimize human potential in high-stakes environments. He previously served as a Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach for the San Diego Padres, where he directed performance and injury mitigation strategies for MLB athletes. His deep expertise in the tactical sector was forged through years of leadership within the Special Operations community, including roles as the Director of Human Performance for Air Force Special Warfare (25th ASOS) and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Naval Special Warfare Group Three. In these roles, he was an early adopter of integrated Tactical Athlete Management Systems and established dedicated performance centers to ensure operators remained mission-ready. A veteran in the field, Kenny’s background also includes tenures at the University of Notre Dame, the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and UCLA. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D) through the NSCA, a credential he has maintained since 2008. Kenny is passionate about bridging the gap between elite performance science and the unique complexities of dynamic careers. Based in Hawaii, he continues to advocate for a holistic approach to health and resilience, ensuring that those in high-consequence roles have the tools to stay "ready" for the job and ready for life.
