
Nina Hsieh
Nina Hsieh is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Injury Prevention as a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the City of Huntington Beach Police Department. In this role, she focuses on injury prevention, management, and recovery to help tactical professionals maintain peak performance, reduce injury risk, and sustain operational readiness.
With over two decades of athletic training experience, Nina brings a distinguished background in professional basketball. She spent two seasons as Head Athletic Trainer for the Los Angeles Lakers after previously working three seasons as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She later served three seasons as a Senior Athletic Trainer with the Charlotte Hornets. Prior to her NBA career, she was the Head Athletic Trainer for the Lakers’ minor league franchise for seven seasons, where she oversaw injury care, strength and conditioning support, and team operations. She also gained early-career experience at the University of California, Santa Barbara, supporting women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and baseball programs.
Nina holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Science in Sports Health Care from A.T. Still University. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). Her extensive experience across professional and collegiate sports makes her a highly skilled resource in injury prevention and performance optimization across both athletic and tactical environments. Outside of work, Nina enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as hiking with her fiancé, Tommie, and their pup.
