Nina Hsieh is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Injury Prevention as a Certified Athletic Trainer with the City of Huntington Beach Police Department. In this role, she focuses on injury prevention, management, and recovery to help tactical professionals maintain peak performance and reduce injury risks. Her expertise ensures that officers remain in optimal physical condition while supporting their recovery strategies to maintain operational readiness.With over two decades of athletic training experience, Nina has had a distinguished career in professional basketball. She spent three seasons as a Senior Athletic Trainer with the Charlotte Hornets and two seasons as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Los Angeles Lakers, following three seasons as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. Prior to her time in the NBA, Nina served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Lakers’ minor league franchise for seven seasons, where she managed injury care, strength and conditioning programs, and team operations. She also gained valuable experience at the University of California, Santa Barbara, supporting the women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and baseball teams.Nina holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Science in Sports Health Care from A.T. Still University in Arizona. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
